Revox C270 Motor Bearings

Hello Fellow Members,

I have restored a pair of Revox C270 machines. To complete the restoration i would like to replace the motor bearings. I know that the bearing type is 608-2Z. I was wondering if one must use a specific type of bearing or if the standard 608-2Z part would suffice?

A very good choice are 608-2Z from "SKF".
I use them for my STUDER and REVOX recorders and they are perfect.

I recommend 6082Z (=608ZZ) with reduced radial air - that is the „C2“ specification. I have them in my Studer A807.

Thanks for your suggestions Frank and Hans. I have good access to SKF bearings in my country, I will look them up and investigate the C2 specification bearings.
